Digital Marketing Strategist

Project Overview

During this project, the Rizer will help to gain exposure, recognition, and sales for Bundles & Bits, a multicultural natural hair and skincare brand. The Rizer will work closely with the co-founder to develop creative marketing strategies, then work to implement them on their own. Areas of work include:

  • Social media development (Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok)
  • Content calendar creation and consistent posting throughout sites
    • Research tools and technologies to help automate
  • Content creation
    • Email newsletters, website updates and blog
    • Utilize existing photos and collateral to create micro-messages and multi-functional content
  • Outreach and publicity
  • Marketing plan implementation 

The goal is to spread awareness of the brand, increase online presence, and sell Bundle & Bits’ mission! The Rizer has the unique ability to engage with an early company and frame its longer-term marketing strategy

Ideal Student

The ideal Rizer has previous experience in developing marketing plans and working social media. The Rizer is familiar with Canva and has the ability to make a little content last a long way. The Rizer is passionate about the company’s mission and will come to the project with ideas on how to successfully propel the brand.


Bundles & Bits will develop and execute an innovative marketing strategy to gain brand awareness and new customers. The Rizer will have the opportunity to work with the co-founder to brainstorm marketing strategies, then implement them within the company. The Rizer will gain great experience in a real-world situation in creatively executing strategies.

Timeline Detail

Start Date: June 21 End Date: July 30 (8-10 hours per week) Week 1: Onboarding, learning about the brand, and developing ideas. Establish goals for social media sites and Linkedin and begin creating a content calendar. Week 2: Continue growing social media, finalize marketing strategy, begin outreach to relevant influencers and networks Week 3: Implement a minimum of ONE unique marketing strategy to gain awareness and customers Week 4: Implement a minimum of ONE unique marketing strategy to gain awareness and customers Week 5-6: Continue utilizing social media and developing new ideas for marketing
