For this project, the Rizer will be asked to do in-person user acquisition for VenueApp, a new app that helps visitors in New Orleans engage with more authentic experiences through local hosts. The Rizers will approach Lyft, Uber, or other rideshare drivers and gauge their interest in VenueApp. This style is similar to canvassing. Rizers will work in pairs, be given a t-shirt to wear, flyers to hand out to “qualified leads,” and a script outlining the pitch for the app and the onboarding event. Each pair will be assigned a location with high rideshare traffic. The onboarding event will discuss other safety practices.
Rizers will work with a partner of your choice (please include their information in your application) or be assigned to someone who is able to work the same time shift. Rizers may indicate which 4-hour shifts they are available to work out of the following dates. This marketing initiative is lead by LookFar Labs.

Ideal Student
The ideal Rizer is outgoing, has great communication skills, and is a good judge of character. The Rizer feels confident working in a team to pitch a new app to rideshare drivers. The Rizer may have previous experience canvassing or with other field marketing.
Outcomes
The Rizer will have the unique opportunity to help a startup grow and connect with the local New Orleans community while developing their sales skills. If successful, the Rizer will be invited to work at the in-person event on March 21 at Faubourg Brewing Co.
Timeline Detail
You will be required to attend an in-person meeting on Tues. (3/15) at 4p for 30 minutes, at the VenueApp office (835 Julia St.). Then you will be assigned to one 4-hour shift that week based on your availability. This call will cover safety protocol.
